The CleaveMasterLDF is a high precision fiber cleaver, designed for cleaving Large Diameter Fibers up to 1000µm. The cleaver handles all common fiber shapes including circular, hexagon, octagon and D-shapes.
The cleaver's patent-pending cleaving process generates typical cleave angles of less than 0.5°. The advanced image processing system, used to achieve optimal cleaving performance with different fiber types and shapes, automatically detects the fiber shape and rotates the fiber into the correct cleaving and splicing position. The built-in microprocessor controls all vital parameters and settings such as fiber alignment, clamping, fiber tension and the exact position and speed of the diamond blade. Control of sensitive parameters guarantees high cleaving repeatability and accuracy.
Cleaving performance is enhanced with the fiber handling kits, optimized for specific fiber dimensions. The CleaveMasterLDF is designed to generate minimum amounts of fiber waste, removing hazardous fiber scraps with the automatic waste disposal system. Operated through an external PC that controls the image processing, the parameters and settings are all programmable. |
